Frequently asked questions
How can I share my trail data?
We make sharing your trail data easy simply :
- Share your link: Enter the link to your public trail activity (Strava, AllTrails etc.) in the notes field and we will create your trek map directly from it.
- Don't have your original route?: No problem. Simply recreate it using your favorite hiking or mapping app and send us a public trail link.
*Approximate stats are completely okay for custom map orders.
How do multiple custom maps work?
Each custom map requires it's own trail link and route details.
If you want multiple different trails, create each map separately before adding it to your cart. (For example: create a Half Dome map, add it to cart, then repeat the process for Angel’s Landing or any other trail.)
If you are ordering multiple quantities of the same product, make sure to include the trail link and stats for each map in the notes before adding to cart.
**Adding multiple trail links to a single map order does not create multiple maps unless the matching quantity has been added to your cart.
Can I customize the stats shown on my map?
Yes! By default, every custom stats map includes:
- Trail name
- Distance
- Elevation gain
- Duration
If you'd rather display a different detail such as the date of your adventure instead of one of the default stats, just let us know in the order notes and we'll be happy to customize it.
Do you offer bulk or corporate orders?
Yes! We work with hiking clubs, race organizers, running clubs, and businesses for bulk orders. Contact us at bulk@topotreks.com for custom pricing and lead times on orders of 10+ trek maps.
How long does delivery take?
Production time:
- Standard: 3-7 business days
- Express production: 2-3 business days (at extra cost)
Shipping time:
- US: 1-3 business days
- Worldwide: 5-14 business days
Each topotreks map is individually crafter for you. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
How do I clean my trek map?
Gently wipe your trek map using a clean, dry microfiber cloth. If dust is harder to remove, use a soft-bristled brush to gently clear it away. Do not use water, harsh cleaners, or abrasive tools, as they can harm the surface finish.
What materials are the trek maps made of?
We print exclusively with PLA+—a durable, plant-based material with a smooth matte finish. It’s lightweight and UV stable. Perfect for 3D topographic maps.
Is a topotreks map a good gift?

What is the return policy?
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on certain products. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, please contact us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.
Due to the personalized nature of custom made-to-order product orders, we cannot accept returns unless there is a defect or error made on our part. Please review your data or other information carefully before ordering a custom made-to-order product.
Can I track my order?
Once we ship your order, you'll receive an email with a tracking number. You can use this to track your package on our website or directly through the carrier's website.
